・同じ仕事を何年もやっていくうちに、
　それまでにできなかったことが、
　できるようになったりしていきます。
　新人のころには、ものすごい難題に見えたことでも、
　その難しさの正体がわかったら、やり方が見えます。
　経験の浅いころには、
　「できないかもしれない」と思いながらやってたことも、
　やがては、「できる」と思ってやれるようになります。
　
・じぶんのことを考えても、そういうものでした。
　世界中の悩みを一手に引き受けたような顔をして、
　ひとつのコピーを書くのに、天井を見つめたり、
　公園に出かけて空気を変えようとしたり、
　ヒントになりそうな本を虚ろな目で読み出したり、
　腕組みして周囲をにらみつけてみたり、
　やっていたことがあるんです、ぼくも。

　「できる」という感触を知らないものですから、
　わけのわからない恐怖が背中に張り付いてるんです。
　「できない」ような気がしているから、苦悩するんです。

　「できたことがある」ということが増えていくと、
　「このあたりは、あれに似てるな」とか、
　「ここはスキがあったほうがいいんだ」とか、
　解決への道筋が明るく見えてきます。
　そうなってはじめて、ほんとうに考えることが、
　できるようになっていくのだと思います。
